RalfKeymasterDid you follow the instructions in the license dialog and sent us an è-mail with the request code? Normally you should receive your key shortly afterwards.
Ideally please send this mail from the same mail address that you used for the purchase. Otherwise processing will get delayed.
RalfKeymasterFallout 4 support us already there. Normally vorpX should auto update to the latest version (0.91) when you start it. If it doesn’t for some reason, you can use your web installer to get the latest version.
RalfKeymasterThis is on the radar, but with low priority. There actually already was a post fx base framework in place for exactly this purpose before it had to be thrown away when switching to direct mode rendering. Will be re-implemeted for the new rendering pipeline if/when there is enough time.
RalfKeymasterHonestly can’t tell. Chased the issue for more than a day without finding the cause. I’ll take another look at it later, but can’t promise anything. Noone will ever use a DK1 again in just a few months from now when the CV1 comes out, so it just doesn’t make sense to spend too much time hunting down this issue.
RalfKeymasterPlease send a mail with your new request code to the mail address mentioned in the license dialog.
RalfKeymasterFallout 4 will be looked into when it becomes available.
Out of the box it will probably work in 2D. For more a profile will be needed.
RalfKeymasterJust a heads up that vorpX does not work with BattleEye enabled anymore. Some time ago the BattleEye programmer added a new “feature” that essentially made programs stop working with BE that hook into games the way vorpX does.
RalfKeymasterBlack Ops 3 will be supported with the next update. Surprisingly the game even has a decent field of view option, allowing the FOV to be set to 120° ingame. So this will work better than last years COD. No release date set yet for the next vorpX.
RalfKeymasterDespite the Oculus demo scene working this might still be an Optimus issue. It’s not unlikely that vorpX can’t hook correctly when a game switches from the integrated graphics to the dedicated GPU.
One thing you could try is disabling the integrated graphics entirely in the BIOS of your laptop, provided it has an option to do so.
On a side note: Quadro cards, regardless whether desktop or mobile, are known to cause issues in general with the Oculus Rift. They might or might not work. (source: https://forums.oculus.com/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=26692&p=300557#p300557)
RalfKeymasterThe game changes its FOV during many cutscenes, which may make the stereo 3D unpleasent depending on the scene. vorpX does not know when a cutscene is played.
If you are distracted by the FOV change, you can press [ALT][X] to disable 3D during cutscenes, and turn it back on the same way afterwards.
RalfKeymasterThere is nothing I can share regarding timelines for additional device support at this point in time, sorry.
RalfKeymastervorpX does not support OSVR at this point in time. This was unfortunately announced prematurely by OSVR without any confirmation that it’s actually ready.
OSVR support will probably be added, but there is no date set yet for this.
RalfKeymasterIn such a case you can use the contact form linked above.
RalfKeymasterPlease check whether the game runs without vorpX.
Crashes here on start (“Exception type: Access violation” etc.) with or without vorpX on Win8+.
RalfKeymasterIt never was fully implemented anywhere because of the issue described above. This really is of no use unfortunately. Nothing outside the forward field of view is actually there.
