Hi there, I found the road redemption cloud profile (yes, i understand it is not on the office supported game list, but it’s quite old game, back in 2017, and definitely not using fancy dx12 etc, the cloud profile at least indicate someone has able to get into it) but when i start the game, vorpx doesn’t hook at all (latest vorpx), there is not even a vorpx dialog saying ‘Attaching to: RoadRedemption.exe’ at all.

is there a way i can do to force or manually hook it? I have read about hook helper and dll files? where can i find such a file and try?

    Thanks

I know that Guild Wars 2 isn’t officially supported, but there’s a cloud profile for it, and it works. Another example of a game that works is Borderlands 3, which I have on EGS instead of Steam. My Steam games that have vorpx profiles don’t get an “attaching to” dialog, vorpx just seems to do nothing for Steam games. There’s no failure because it’s like it doesn’t even try. Like I said though, supported and even non-supported games work if they have a profile, as long as they’re not on Steam.

i dont know if its the cpu with high spikes or if its a program interfering but on a fresh start of my computer vorpx runs smooth but after 30 mins it lags my whole computer causing mouse stuttering or jumping which then in turn affects ingame. what could it be? i dont want to have to restart my computer constantly just to get 30 mins of play time. even when cpu is not spiking it still lags. as soon as i close vorpx everything runs smooth again…

any suggestions would be appreciated.. i tried disabling ingame overlays ending tons of different background processes excluded from windows security my only antivirus and allowing through firewall still nothing specs:i7 8700k ram 16gb ddr4

I disagree. A G3D (with proper shadows, of course), in combination with DLSS – ummm, candy! I am eager to try it. I hope Ralf will eventually get around to it.

That will obviously be superior. Until then getting it to work in a basic way isn’t really that hard. Except using OpenTrack for head tracking the important thing for FullVr mode is raising the game field of view to match the headset FOV one way or the other.

As soon as head tracking is working and the FOV is right even without stereo 3D games usually can feel great. I‘ll check next week whether the FOV part can be automated, that is the biggest hurdle for some whenever it has to be done manually.

Hi Ralf, thanks for the great product again and keep it updated.
One of constant pain point for me using vorpx is the huge drop in framerate, I have seen your explanation that since VR needs to render two frames every time, it cuts the frame rate by half and plus the additional headroom, it gets even worse. For example in shadow of tomb raider it drops frame rate from over 80 to less than 30 with my 2080 super card, which is almost unplayable at the moment. (even without dx12 and no fancy ray tracing etc).

However, i saw Nvidia is boasting their Single Pass Multi-view or multi view rendering (https://developer.nvidia.com/vrworks/graphics/multiview) and VRS , claiming it will only render frame once for both eyes and claim even 1080 can double the render, then VRSS can lower the performance drop even further. I knew you can force the VRSS support on unofficial support VR games in Nvidia control panel. Have Vorpx thought of using either or both ? It sounds it will greatly improve the frame rate for the games.

    Greetings,

I’m attempting to get WoW Classic to work with VorpX and almost have it working right.

I have the Game set to Full VR View, however when looking with Headtracking your vision stays focused on whatever is straight ahead of you while slightly looking left, right, up, or down. Also, your vision is inverted, so looking Up shifts the view slightly down and vice versa for all directions.

I’ve gone through the entire DEL Menu in game and even inverting the head tracking or disabling it does not resolve the issues.

Any thoughts on how to resolve this issue?

    Many thanks ~

Yeah its so hard to tell, has the g3d ever worked for anyone or has everyone been fooled? Cause its very deceptive in the current state it is, but never the less it is a pancake.

I wish somebody would finally confirm one or the other because I cant seem to get an answer anywhere and Im iv slowly begun to play it on my monitor.

all info of the current state of its g3d –

Has G3d ever worked in DOOM 2016? Cause it certainty doesnt any more.

Im not very savvy with Vorpx, all i can say is that of all 15 or so profiles for the game cloud have exactly the same vorpx build – 16.2.0

Has anyone tried making a more current one? Is that even how it works?
I tried looking up how to do it myself but honestly its either way too easy or way too hard, cant find the info on it.
All im seeing is start from a made profile, but which one? does it matter?

Hi guys had the same problem over a year because I have 3 games with the name game.exe on my vorpx tryout list (Its reserved for a other game). Also I wanted to give Inside a deeper look in exchange for switching off some shaders ;) . But as you know in official profiles you cannot use the shadertool. The only way to achieve this would be to rename the exe file of the game. But here is the problem gaming clients such as steam prevent you from doing so…
One option would be looking for the cracked.exe to get rid of steam but Dont do that !
For Steam I found a working program which is able to rename your exe and save it to your local steam configuration.

    Dragon Age Inquisition

So, I installed vorpX, and turned off Origin’s in game features, but it won’t hook, or even try to. Tested Dragon Age Origins and Dragon Age 2 and they hooked no issue. Uninstalled inquisition, deleted leftover files, and then had a fresh install of the game, and get the same results- the game launches fine but VorpX Ignores it. Tried windowed mode and full screen and neither work. It is listed as a vorpX supported game so I am looking for advice as to how to get it to work (the FAQs and beginners guides did not really help here)

Additionally, the vorpX desktop viewer doesn’t hook either, which is really weird. What can I check to get that feature to work?

Using a Valve Index as a headset with index controllers.

    Thanks :)

I also noticed that the support from Microsoft will be submitted later. have already pre-ordered the HP Reverb and the G2. I am only concerned with the time until it natively supports VR. therefore I would be interested to know if this is possible via Vorbx. at least like some kind of bigscreen.

Literally EVERYTHING (unless theres some edge cases that break your PC cause its too much for it to handle) is supported with the Vorpx Desktop Viewer.

To get to this, launch Vorpx as you normally would. Dont launch a game or an application though, just get the program “Started” so its on the bottom right on your screen on the Start Menu bar. Right click it and Select “Start vorpx Desktop Viewer”

Put your headset on, you will have Vorpx displaying your desktop in Cinema/Immersive screen mode. No 3d, that requires actual ‘support’ for the program you are running; but I use this for watching movies or playing games without support all the time. For instance, Forza Horizon on Gamepass has an awesome battle royale mode, love launching it up with Desktop Viewer with music blaring and just go to town.

You can also launch Netflix or Disney+ or Hulu, etc and watch movies like you’re on a giant screen.

Small tip – Increase your Desktop Resolution to whatever you want the video output to be. For instance, Disney+ till only play a movie at 1080p if your desktop resolution, when you start your browser is at 1080p… so even if your monitor doesnt support 4k; go ahead and add 4k to your monitor as a resolution and then Disney+ movies should look much crisper. I believe Netflix does the same thing.

Good luck! Hope it works well for you until official support for Flight Sim

even if i play with bots on my own it still has VAC. and i was told today that i had to set my game with two different parameters, -untrusted and -insecure. the more important one is -insecure because that is the way to disable the new VAC update that was rolled out a couple weeks ago. i only set -untrusted because that is what i use for my NVIDIA Game Filter. and also i apologize its just that im afraid that the VAC team wont get to me because there was a recent ban wave, ive never had to deal with something like this. i was hoping that someone here had a similar issue that could help in any way.

Can’t really say much to this. Judging from your post it sounds fairly unlikely that you got banned for using vorpX. How would you get a VAC ban when you not even connect to a VAC server.

On a side note: please don’t make multiple post regarding the same matter. Thanks.

It feels impossible to setup some thing on some games with current tools. I have hard times to setup skybox so it renders on Infinity range, it requires changing focal offset, but when i do get skybox right, i can’t Set planets to show at Infinity range too. I am talking about kerbal Space Program. It seems that planets doesn’t even get affected by some settings, vorpx doesn’t give precise tools to change convereage and focals for each objects, If they are programmers funny way. ( Like those planets are actually very close and skybox is just small cube around spaceship. Trying setup ksp but allways something is away from optimal. Focal offset is buggy too, because it changes focal distance but doesn’t CO nt head tilting left/rigght so vision gets very glitchy If rotate head.

I’m still on the fence about this I’m surprised that there isnt a demo of some sort because potentially I could purchase and if it doesn’t work how it should or wanted it to I’m stuck with a bit of software that I paid quite a bit of money for..

Even if you cut out most of the code and just have 1 setting, always internet connected, online activation and time limited even just a couple of mins just so people get an idea of it is for them..I get digital piracy is a massive concern for all..but having a massively cut down version, with programmed limitations will get round the issue..

That would make a purchase for me and for others who are in the fence who want to at least try it..because to be fair it is expensive that could potentially not work depending on there setup.

Also with FPS games, oculus touch controllers can you aim and shoot with the controllers?? For example moving your arm to the person you want to shoot and then fire 🔥 lol . So in other words emulating mouse for aiming..
