    @Nikoli,
I followed your settings, but that gets me a distant window with black on all sided. Any idea what I’m doing wrong?
Also, it’s too bad the mod only goes to 75 FOV. 5(3 First Person Mod goes to 110. I wonder if it can be used along side this one.

    Daggerfall UNITY.

    For installation see:
    https://forums.dfworkshop.net/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2360

    Cinematic mode works well.

VR mode is a novelty but too many menus and too low framerate to make it viable.

I added the following Mods and they seem to work:

    K.o.w. D.R.E.A.M
    Handpainted Models
    (both on Nexus Mods)

    Post Processing Effects
    https://forums.dfworkshop.net/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=694

    The following also work:
Enhanced Sky (Sky a little out of depth but not too much)
    Hills and mountains
    Real Grass
    Birds in Daggerfall

Play fullscreen or be forever clicking outside of window and losing focus.

Wandering around in the dungeons is still spooky even in such an old game.
The framerate is not the best, but you can’t have everything.

Profile in the cloud, search Daggerfall UNITY.

Just thought I’d drop my two cents for those wanting to run Witcher 3 in first person Full VR. I found the Immersive Cam mod to be a much better experience than the standard First Person mod. Simply position the camera in front of Geralt and make adjustments.

Main benefits of using this mod:

Unlike other first person mods, positioning the camera into a first person perspective with Immersive Cam decouples your head tracking from Geralt. This allows you to strafe, backpedal, and run without having the camera spinning out of your control.

Allows a lot of flexibility in setting camera positions to bounce between first and third person. I currently set the camera in a first person perspective to explore. I can then manually zoom out into 3rd person by using my Witcher Sense if I need to check my surroundings. Entering combat is also set to automatically take me into 3rd person. There is enough zoom provided with third person that I don’t feel the need to jump into the Vorpx menu to switch out of Full VR mode once in combat. It helps to keep the whole experience fluid. Can easily use edge peek for everything else (menus & cut scenes).

Allows FOV up to 75. While not as much as some mods I find to be enough when adjusting the Vorpx Letter Box/zoom.

Maybe not the most ideal but hopefully it helps. For a starting point, my current settings are below. Adjust to fit your set up and taste!

    In Game:
    Mouse Sensitivity = .55
    Exploration Zoom = 6.90
    Exploration Height = .75
    FOV = 75

    Vorpx:
    Full VR
    Head Tracking = .55
    Letter Box 2
    Zoom = .83

Yes, this is the mod everyone should use. It gives it first person and can also change the FOV…

I just need to find the right vorpx settings to activate head tracking and fix the keyboard movement controls. If I figure it out, I’ll upload a first person profile.

I know Ralph calibrates FOV with vorpx, but I don’t always find the settings to my liking. With Kingdom Come the FOV is a little zoomed in and you can’t see much of your arm, which makes melee combat a little more difficult than it should be. Vorpx has an adjustable FOV setting … but if you use it to increase FOV, shadows get screwed up.

Using this mod I was able to set FOV so I could see more of my arm and shadows remain unchanged.

Yay, we’re getting the new VorpX release in the near-future. Definitely stoked about that. If I remember right, there’s going to be an official profile for Dragon Age Inquisition! That’ll be awesome! I know that a lot of users prefer to play games in First Person. DA:I, like the other Dragon Age games, is of course in the 3rd Person, but I ran across an article today for a modder who made it into First Person! Actually, he made it so you can switch between modes on the fly. Pretty awesome. I doubt I’ll use it, since I like 3rd Person, but I thought some of you might want to give it a try:
Original Article (It’s short and gives some details on the mod that you might want to read):

    Hi Ralf,

I’ve got the Steam version with all DLC. I think it was an issue with the mods I was installing and possibly not uninstalling properly. Using Nexus got very complicated with profiles etc and things being left behind. Uninstalled and reinstalled, left the sky mods and weather mods out (I think it may have been the Nevada Skies mod causing the troubles) and all looks OK now.

Thanks though for the help and support.

The next thing I’m tweaking is trying to get iron sights so I don’t go cross-eyed! I’ve read up elsewhere on the forums and I am going to experiment with the 3D settings today trying to reduce it close up – any additional tips would be respectfully appreciated.

@ matteo39, I’m using 2560×1440, Oculus ASW off, VorpX ASW on (BTW Ralf, works perfect) 1.5 SS via Oculus TrayTool, giving me 60-90 FPS even with all the HD textures etc. in cinema mode, ambient background, wrapped round and pulled in all the way. LOVE IT!

Yes, and there’s a mod on Nexus to let you tweak the HUD for ultrawide (it’s squashed if you use the INI edits) so we could conceivably tweak it for VR as well and arrange the HUD elements in a better location without too much difficulty.

PC specs: 1080ti doing most of the heavy lifting, I think another reason I switched out of Geometry was because I was indeed running a wonky ultrawide resolution for my monitor and that was just too many pixels to crunch for G3D. I didn’t get a chance today to try anything due to work but will fiddle a bit on the Sunday session and see if G3D can be made more playable.

One annoying about the INI edits is some of them are ignored or just reset.

Man, I hope they add official support in a few years. This kind of world with consistent updates, proximity chat, and the promised private servers and mods in 2019 would be a wonderful thing to have for years to come.

Dark Souls 3 plays incredibly well, in both 1st person (with a mod from Nexus) or I found it works best for me in a zoomed out, almost to a Diablo 3 level. However, all forms of head tracking work great so I just lean in to zoom tight, and push off to zoom way out. I’ve been bouncing back and forth between the touch controllers and mouse keyboard. Both work well and offer very different game experiences.

There can be some graphical glitches if you push it, but I’m about 2/3rd’s of the way through and couldn’t imagine how I played it the first time without. It feels like an entirely different game. Good Luck, let me know if anyone wants my Vorpx profile.

I thought I’d revive the thread with some new info:

    1. There are now two softwares that can change the FOV: An FOV changer on NexusMods (needs a special Frostbite modding software) and a cinematic camera utility. (See below for links)

    2. 21:9 resolutions with the default max 90 degree FOV have exactly the perfect FOV for VR. I use this (at my monitor’s 3440×1440) as I don’t want to install some random DLL or software.

    3. I use the profile from Battlefield 1 (closest Frostbite version) with Z-Normal @ 3.0 Strength and 0.07 Weight.

Mod Links (WARNING: USE AT YOUR OWN RISK):

FOV setting increaser (up to 120): https://www.nexusmods.com/mirrorsedgecatalyst/mods/2

    Needs Frosty Tool Suite: https://github.com/GalaxyEham/FrostyToolSuite/wiki

Cinetools, cinematic camera utility that can also change FOV: http://cinetools.xyz/games/

As I said, the original 32bit version, not SE.
If you want to make the UI more pleasant in Vorpx use SKYUI.
Go through the top UI mods on the nexusmods.
These are all the UI mods I use, you can search using name or id:

    mod_id on nexus / mod_installed_name / mod_version

    27371,”Better Dialogue Controls”,”1.2.0.0
    28170,”Better MessageBox Controls”,”1.2.0.0
    37347,”Customizable Camera”,”1.82.0.0
    3222,”Immersive HUD – iHUD”,”3.0.3.0
    98,”KenMOD – Time on loading screen”,”5.0.0.0
    35154,”Less Intrusive HUD II”,”1.1.0.0″,”
    95,”Main Font Replacement”,”2.0.0.0″
    12625,”No Boring Sleep-Wait Menu”,”1.7.0.0″,
    7901,”No Menu and Loading Smoke”
    25501,”Paper World Map”
    29624,”RaceMenu”,”3.4.5.0
    26490,”Simple Lockpicking”,”1.20.0.0″
    74434,”Simple Reading – Remove Book Menu UI”,”1.1.0.0″,”Take and Steal-74434-1-1.zip”
    2317,”Smaller Cursor”,”
    57046,”UIExtensions”,”1.2.0.0″

Pretty sure they all require SKSE.
They also load in the above order for my game.
Some might interfere slightly with Vorpx fov if you are in full vr but you can always disable/alter those in the menus.
    Hope this helps.

I am also very interested in knowing if we can use ENB in any way, specifically I would like to use this preset.

I have in my cart now one $39.95 VorpX with the option to use PayPal and I’m so close to pushing it but some of the reviews and comments here give me pause.

I have an HTC Vive setup with a machine exclusively made for VR using an Nvidia card (1060? 1080?) and I forget all the details at the moment. I may boot it up later and get the system specs and add them. For now, let’s just say that it runs everything I’ve thrown at it so far.

I bought Skyrim SE about two months ago, have 216 active mods, use Nexus Mod Manager, and run all this on a laptop. I don’t have any graphics enhancements as the laptop gets sluggish with them. Most of them are new NPCs (most I will be removing), new buildings, weapons, spells, and other odds and ends.

I don’t have ENC. I do have SKSE64, FNIS, SkyUI, and I think that’s all that alters the core esm files if they even do that.

I’ve read that some people complain that Skyrim SE has a fogging issue, menus chopping off, and other nagging problems that make me hesitate to purchase.

How does it fare now? Are these simply settings? I don’t mind getting my hands dirty by having to tweak things. Computers have been my hobby and profession for forty years. (Darn I’m getting old.) I would really like to see this game in VR and don’t want to buy a console or wait until December for the supposed Skyrim VR to come out for PCs.

    Thanks
