Still not hooking for me. EAC is off as it tells me in offline mode. Says it’s hooking with Elden ring and RDR2 profiles and normal and alt hooking. Never does. Also does not bring up steam VR at all like other games. Using virtual desktop and quest 2.

try alt mode setting in vorpx, hook helpers and setting eldring fullscreen/windowed, combination of these settings might eventually do it…unless its your antivirus, mine was randomly preventing hooks even with exceptions and pause mode.

Thanks, that one works indeed and I prefer vorpx deep integration to other ways, plus if we are switching off eac for this can also use flawless widescreen for fov

P.S.: it only hooked for me in alt mode with a hook helper btw.

Ive tried cloud profile for the game, it hooks, it shows in headset, it even triggers depth in z3d which I know by 2 artifacts on edges of the screen, but there is no actual depth in game. What it looks like is vorpx doesnt get proper z-buffer depth info on the game, like when whole screen is just solid grey, so vorpx adds “depth” to whole game window which explains artifacts on the sides and thats it.

I’ve also tried reshade 3D z3d and that one with default settings does the same and since reshade has option to display depth buffer information I can see its solid grey, but reshade also offers to adjust it while looking at black and white feedback and therefore I could adjust it to work with visible actual depth present in game…vorpx though – no luck.

same as previous souls, we’ll probably be able to have a working profile soon even if the game uses EAC.

Can you elaborate on the “even EAC” part? I’m asking in regards of other EAC games

DX11 is only z3d in vorpx unless Ralf specifically goes deep and makes custom profile for a specific game.

Ralf said it will never happen because any cheater can abuse what vorpx does and eac wont allow it.

If it will have eac always on then no luck – no vorpx. Only thing you can hope for is if they will have a mode like vermintide where it lets you play without eac fr mods and giggles, maybe offline only.

You can use Oculus API and OpenXR api (which are selected in vorpx tray menu), personally it feels like OpenXR runs better with quest 2 than oculus api.

If oculus is only vr you have ever installed it will be default openxr application anyway so you just need to select it in vorpx, if not once you run oculus app on pc it will ask you to set openxr by default or like suggested find this setting in oculus app settings.

You dont have to download anything additionally.

I did find several z3d profiles that are working great, but you need to disable post fx and antialisaing for it to work, I used some ini tweaks too but Im not sure its needed.

I put it in the cloud and as for G3D everything Ive tried had weird rendering issues with some shaders and couldnt be fixed with shader authoring.

You have to try a lot of profiles before you find one that works, quick test I did a while back gave me one that worked in z3d but it wasnt all too good in terms of depth feel and biggest issue was weapons – in z3d they seem to be too close to camera and using ironsights was not comfy – full of “watery” artifacts. No, I cant say what profile Ive tried as I dont remember and I got rid of it because it wasnt working well for me (game didnt want to run well with good resolution either on ,y 1070)

Im just saying there are profiles out there that will work but you have to spend quite some time trying them all.

the service you see running in task manager isnt same as vorpx running and ready to hook to games, it will only attempt to hook to whatever you run if you have launched vorpx exe and have it in tray icon (you can also pasuse that behavior for it if you right click tray icon and choose “pause watcher”)

    “Usualy”

observer that was initially released had a hidden vr mode enabled via console, as for redux you can never know if it was because its impossible or no one had patience enough to try every profile possible. Finally it can be running dx12, in which case only cyberpunk profile might work if you are very lucky.

You will always have those, hands/weapon are up there in the camera almost so 3d separation is too much for pixels to be filled unnoticed, you can either fix close objects looking good or have 3d feel on far objects.

Z3D isnt perfect, but in a dynamic game where you attention is drawn away from artifacts its enough to enchance gameplay experience, like say in rdr2 when outside I can really feel like its a wast open space, or if Im in a train tunnel I can feel like im in a narrow space.

Weapons in hand, thin wires, trees will all have ghostly, watery auras because either too close or 3d mesh reported by depth information is bigger than wire/leaf textures with transparency.

Usually if game/demo is made in UE4 its easy to make your own profile in vorpx – just copy a profile of another game that is already working in vorpx and is running UE4, you might have to try several games, but eventually you will find one that works and doesnt have unplayable artifacts in g3d.

    No.

You can check it easily with an export button – export any profile to a file and try to open it with a text editor, you will get a mess.

All you can try is put executable of another game for a profile you are editing, open menu there, edit, save and then put game where settings arent working back in.
