RalfKeymasterThe pip boy text is probably detected as HUD element. Unlikely that it will be possible for vorpX to detect when the real HUD is shown and when the pip boy is displayed.
You can however quick-access the HUD scaling with ALT + mousewheel.
RalfKeymasterFSX issue confirmed. Behaves different here, but at least as wrong. I’ll look into it.
RalfKeymastervorpX does not access the HUD as geometry, that would be something that you have to do in your mod.
RalfKeymasterGlad this is solved.
RalfKeymasterCan you post a screenshot? Without seeing it this sounds like a resolution issue. Everything not 1920×1080 may lead to a distorted view on the DK2.
Virtual Cinema Mode works with everything that vorpX can hook into (most DX9-DX11 games). Supported games are in 3D, unsupported in 2D.
RalfKeymasterThere’s not much to it. Virtual Cinema Mode can be enabled/disabled on the main page of the ingame menu. If it’s enabled, a few more options are visible, which should be quite self explanatory.
Optimized for Virtual Cinema usually relates to games that are best played this way. DA Origins for example is third person and quite interface heavy. You can switch Virtual Cinema off at any time, but that doesn’t make much sense in this case due to how the game works.
RalfKeymasterI’m not sure if the HUD handling that vorpX uses for Fallout would allow that currently, might or might not be the case. Shoot me a mail sometime next week, and I’ll check whether that would at least be theoretically possible.
RalfKeymasterThe latest vorpX version has Geometry 3D for Elder Scrolls Online. Has to be played in DX9, but that can be done through a single click in the Game Optimizer.
RalfKeymasterI’ll check FSX tomorrow (it’s a holiday here today). Should stll work, but maybe there is a new bug.
The dedicated solution will certainly be the better way to play FSX. It’s obviously impossible for a general wrapper to spend months of dev time for a single game. I honestly wish the author well, hopefully the intersection between FSX simmers and VR enthusiasts is large enough to make this commercially viable.
RalfKeymasterNo need to apologize. Glad this is solved.
RalfKeymasterThis should more or less work like before. Any chance that you are trying Frostbyte engine games (Battlefield, Dragon Age)? These seem to be a bit unpredictable from time to time in this regard, but usually setting the resolution in the game is enough to force them to the right monitor.
RalfKeymasterCould you please send more detailed error descriptions to support |at| vorpx com, so that this can be looked into?
“Crashes” is unfortunately not enough to get an idea what the problem might be. Plesse describe exactly what you are doing before the error occurs and what happens, including full error messages if any are shown. This might help to reproduce your issue. Thanks!
RalfKeymasterThere is no general Optimus issue, but that isn’t a guarantee for every laptop configuration out there, of course. Might make sense to check whether your laptop allows you to disable the Intel graphics or at least to prioritize nVidia when a game starts (usually in the nVidia control panel).
RalfKeymasterPlease install the 0.5.0.1 runtime from Oculus. This will probably solve your issue. Normally the runtine should install with vorpX if required, but that may fail in some cases.
RalfKeymasterThe game wishlist thread is looked at regularly. A way to make profiles is something that will be looked into at a later point in time, there isn’t any schedule for that currently though.
Evolve (Z-Buffer only for now) and Dark Souls I+II will be in the next vorpX version (due shortly). GTA V will be looked into as the no. 1 top priority as soon as it is out. No promises though.
