dellrifter22ParticipantJust in case: remember to not include the ()’s in the FOV settings. They should look like this:
[Camera]
fFPWorldFOV=130
fTPWorldFOV=130And notice there are 2 separate ini files. StarfieldPrefs.ini and StarfieldCustom.ini. The Custom one needs to be created from scratch into the same folder as the Prefs one. Each needs it’s own [Dispaly] section and lines as listed in Daves post.
Thanks Dave for figuring things out. I’m not sure you really need the hex edit though. I used it initially, but changed back to my original backup and it seems to behave the same. I think the
fWideAspectLimit=1.0 does the trick on it’s own – no black bars. I set mine to 1.33 though to use a 4:3 res (3200×2400)The vanilla FSR2 works fine with my Z3D, though certain scale factors can mess it up. Like the slider default 67% works fine at 3200×2400, but garbled at 2880×2160, which I set to 80% to fix. I’m using the Grounded profile as a base. Resident Evil Village works also, but I found the depth weighting a bit too strong at minimum. It would still be great to get a real one from Ralf with Starfield specific values though.
Anyhow, fun so far. Tonight was mainly testing, but tomorrow will start the journey.

MalsysteParticipantOK this is like the 3rd time I’m writing this response, my shit keeps getting deleted or signing out or getting marked as spam… what’s up with this message board lol.
Anyways, nice try but that doesn’t sound like real3d anymore. However for experimenting, which scripthookrdr3 needs deleting? the .dll or the .log? Im finding both.
Also for some reason, I cant even remove the official local profiles to swap with any other, how do people do that? Both remove options are grayed out on official local ones. I can only remove the imported ones form cloud. And if I cant remove, I cant reassign the .exe to a different profile.

EvolutionizeitParticipant1. Search Cloud Profiles for “Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare [vorpX]” and import the profile.
2. Go to Local Profiles and find “Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare” right-click it and choose “Create a new profile based on this”
3. Name the new profile and leave the boxes unchecked. Right click “Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare” again and choose “Export your vorpX settings to file”, save it.
4. Find the new profile you created and select it, press Import Settings/Profile and select the file you just saved. Now go to “Add File” find your game install location and add the “MW2CR.exe”This should be enough to get everything up and running.

Django9898ParticipantUninstall the standalone mod first.
To do this go to Windows Apps & Features and uninstall voprx Cyberpunk mod.
Start Cyberpunk, set all graphic settings to low and activate DLSS when you have a RTX card.
Then start Vorpx and go to local Profiles and choose the original profile from Ralf first and look how it works for you.
When you Start Cyberpunk press “del” key to enter Voprx Menu and set input from Mouse/KB to GamepadThank you! I uninstalled and reinstalled the game along with the mod just to be sure. Then I used the default VorpX settings for Cyberpunk 2077. It adjusted settings for me and suggested a restart, which I did.
I’m honestly shocked at how smoothly it runs. Amazing job, VorpX team!
One weird thing is that there’s an invisible line running through the middle of the screen, as if there’s a small gap in rendering the scene vertically. Is this a common enough issue for you to know what I’m talking about? Is there a fix?
I really don’t know the problem. Never happens to me.
You could try to solve the problem by changing the 3D reconstruction from z-normal to z-adaptive.Or set in Direct VR Settings” “Preffered Resolution Quality” from “OK-ish”, “Nice”, “Nicer” “Ultra” etc. (requires game restart)
Jul 19, 2023 at 9:11pm #216799In reply to: G3D/DirectVR: Judder and Stutter most games
virtuayayParticipanthi and thanks for the response
with all respect what surprises me is that with vorpx being in development for more than a decade that the help section seems very generalized and abstract. there are user-maintained wikis and reddits for all kind of programs and games and tech that are more specific and technical. i have followed 3dvision-fix development and for example in that field you can read about specific shader problems and settings only accessible through nvidia profile inspector or the windows registry, meanwhile for vorpx if i go into the Z3D/G3D editor modes there is nothing but trial and error to guide me.
in your development of vorpx have you ever encountered ghosting and stuttering unrelated to PC specs or running services/programs? was this like unheard of until i had this problem? what is surprising is that there isn’t already specific help for the exact problems i’ve had.
unfortunately it sounds like somehow this thread got onto the track of looking at this as a problem with my pc’s rendering performance, i don’t know how when i’ve been so careful to mention repeatedly that the issue isn’t frames per second. whatever problem is going on has more to do with how vorpx is working than how my computer is working. native openxr and steamvr games at super high settings without either stuttering or ghosting. like with my other posts in this forum i get the feeling they’re not even being read. i half expect a helpful “microsoft tech representative” to show up and tell me to run troubleshooting command.exe prompts.
i have tweaked my games and system for the best performance, and in the game with the worst stutter i’ve had so far (homefront 2011) i have also tried playing it at a super low resolution and there was no difference in the suttering problem.
my OS is win 10 64 Pro setup using NTLite to strip out all possible slowdowns and services, for an esports gaming pc. i take the same approach to things like overlays and all other programs mentioned in the troubleshooting guide. nothing has ever been installed that would cause any kind of lag or get in the way of the cpu/ram/usb. there was never a single byte of onedrive or skype on this system.
i run at 1:1 bus-to-ram speeds to eliminate all forms of stuttering. this system is tuned so tight that i don’t have all my USB devices running, don’t have unnecessary services like printers even installed, and my e-cores are disabled to achieve full ring bus speed on the remaining 8 p-cores which have had all c-states disabled except for the several required for the low-core-usage turboboost to kick in. anything i don’t use is totally disabled both in bios and on a driver level through control panel.
i don’t expect every single game i try with vorpx to work perfectly but when i have tons more problems with specific games than other users with lesser PCs report, and when i have specific problems that nobody else mentions, obviously vorpx is not working as intended on my system. and im sorry but even after your reply here (which i appreciate) i still feel entitled to more help.
Jul 10, 2023 at 2:34am #216749In reply to: Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition and DX12?
BoblekoboldParticipantIf I launch enhanced edition after setting DirectX11 in Metro graphics menu, it use the official profile, and G3D works, but I can’t access VorpX menu (it’s the first time I encounter that).
If I launch the old version of Metro Exodus as you suggest, I will have the menu ?
I never use DirectVR. Don’t know exactly how it works but the first game I tried was Bioshock Infinite, and DirectVR didn’t give me good results. By adjusting resolution, FOV, ini files, etc. I managed to have native-like VR experience (I noticed no difference with Subnautica Below Zero native), but It took me a while to understand. But after the first game, you understand you juste have to set high 4:3 resolution, image Zoom at the border of your FOV, game FOV at very large, Clarity FX, 3D parameters if possible, HUD if possible, head tracking speed if needed, and you get a very good experience in every game that allow you to modify these parameters.
VorpX has a mixed reputation, but it’s probably the best program i ever bought. Bioshock serie was incredible with it.
Metro Exodus is in my opinion one the best looking game (Moscou and Volga levels), so I would like to do it with Raytracing (my first try is already impressive in 4k with ultra graphics). But I’ll try both (because it’s true that G3D can be very impressive).
Metro let you choose FOV in ini file and HUD is minimalist so I just have the problem with resolution and Image Zoom (zoom is generaly too high for my headset in every game).
Jun 7, 2023 at 8:26pm #216472Topic: Virtual Monitor
in forum Technical Support
DirtyRuscoeParticipantHi
I’m struggling to get the virtual monitor to work.
The issue, I think, is that I’m using a laptop so the main display is on the intel GPU not the Nvidia GPU.
Annoyingly I can’t seem to turn off the integrated graphics in the BIOS.
So I’m kind of stuck.
I (briefly) managed to get it working by disabling the graphics card in the device manager, but it was extremely laggy on the vm and then reverted back to just a black screen when windows figured out what I was trying to do and forced the integrated monitor onto the basic display driver.
Anyone found a workaround for this?
Long story short, I’m trying to get Ryujinx into a 360 vr environment so I can use reshade with superdepth3d and SBS view.
Ryujinx doesn’t seem to hook natively to Vorpx which I guess would have been the most efficient scenario. Not entirely sure why it doesn’t hook – but potentially because it runs on vulkan and/or OpenGL
Anyway, any tips from anyone?
Jun 6, 2023 at 6:13am #216458
SenanParticipantJust want to preface this by saying that I absolutely love Vorpx and it’s probably the best $40 I ever spent on something gaming-related. So far, most experiences with it have been great, including most of the other Bethesda titles. 76 though… I just don’t know what the deal is. G3D is pretty much unusable for me, and with my specs, I don’t get it.
Specs:
RTX 3080 OC (the better 12GB variant of the card)
32 GB memory
i9 9960X (turbos to 4.5, per core)It’s not the most recent CPU but I average low 40s (to 30s) on FPS with G3D, and that’s on “Decent” default settings on Vorpx (don’t even get me started when I try to increase the quality…). Not to mention, it looks atrocious visually–like it almost gives me a headache after a few minutes.
For the record, without Vorpx, I can run the game on Ultra settings and stay above 100fps at all times, so I was expected at least around the 50s with Vorpx running. Z3D is much better but even that goes into the 50s at times (and when it’s really busy, 40s). At least with that mode, I can make the game look nice, but the 3D effect isn’t near as good.
I’m just perplexed by this game. Is that how it typically runs in G3D with specs like mine?
Thanks for any info!
(P.S. Are there any recommended mods for making the UI more usable with Vorpx? My pipboy doesn’t show entirely, even when using edgepeek. Not sure what that’s about.)
May 28, 2023 at 3:04am #216390
TheBaltParticipantHey everyone,
So, Vorpx is great but unfortunately, due to Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal’s engines, we havent gotten to profiles for these games to work, as far as I know.
There is a little trick you can do, though.
Install Reshade into Doom Eternal, particularly we want the “Depth3D by BlueSkyDefender” parts of Reshade.
Launch the game with Reshade, and enable “SuperDepth3d” with Reshade.
Close the game.
Now, this is the tricky part. Vorpx and this game do no play nicely unfortunately, but you can make it work.
You need to launch the game, and as it is loading, enable “Vorpx Desktop Viewer”; you will have to get the timing right because the game will just be put down to the taskbar and youll have to try Alt+tabbing to get it to come back up, or just relaunch. This is somewhat random and takes a few tries to get the hang of it.
But, once you get the game in full screen and your headset is in Vorpx Desktop Viewer and youre seeing the game running, you then go to Vorpx Desktop Viewer’s In Headset Settings and change the Content type to Side by Side.
When you do this, you will want to zoom the image in/out a bit. You will not be able to see the full screen, but thankfully, Doom eternal put much of your important HUD information around the crosshair.
You will have headtracking, but not with any depth. Like you can look up/down/left/right, but cant lean forward, backwards, etc. So, it works with controller or Keyboard/mouse.
Its basically creating a 3d image for you, so the game will be in 3d, but, you just dont have the leaning in and out options.
If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask.

matteo39ParticipantRalf please don’t “erase” this message :)
wonderful job, i’ve played 1 hour in tlou with z-normal, fantastic 3d effect with cinema mode and max screen curvature.
When there is flickering, you must change % of resolution from 100 to 90 and viceversa (and don’t use dlss or amd dls), and flickering go away…every time there is flickering, you need only to do this.
thank you
Apr 26, 2023 at 6:22pm #216055In reply to: Has vorpX changed your gaming way of life?
MarcDwonnParticipantRalf got us so hooked, LOL…
But seriously, great topic, and one i’m passionate about, so i just have to add my thoughts.
I’m a gamer who plays for the experience, which sometimes can be “life-changing”. Did i hear someone laugh? Bear with me for a moment (and excuse all the fighting with the English language :). I remember that in the 80s i watched “Star Wars: A New Hope” for the first time – i was a child then – and i can honestly say that it *did* change my life. It influenced my choice of profession, it contributed to my visual sensitivity and my style as an artist, and even influenced my way of thinking.
Games do similar things for me, albeit, as a grown-up, on a smaller scale. I still remember how i felt while exploring the dungeons of “Quake” in the 90s, the sense of wonder and complete detachment from real-life in “Unreal”… I dreamt multiple times, like being really there, of the assault on the Chernobyl plant in the 1st STALKER game. I still now and then think about the stories & characters of “Mass Effect” and “Dragon Age”, and i still often ponder the mankind-old questions about consciousness and self-awareness i was confronted with in SOMA. I could go on and on, but it’s getting excessive…
This is what kind of gamer i am. I don’t care about MP games or competition, combat and looting have always been a means to an end and IMO should be well balanced with story / characters / world building to remain fun. So you’d understand why the current native VR games don’t interest me. Thanks to vorpX i can enjoy “real” games with even more immersion, sense of scale, being inside the game-world etc. Oh and it’s the biggest upgrade to all those classic game experiences.
>>>>>i often wonder how anyone can even barely “enjoy” a game on such a small 31-inch screen.<<<<<
I still play flat from time to time, when the friction of current VR tech starts to annoy me too much, but then again i have an 38″ curved ultrawide monitor with DIY ambilight (got the idea from vorpX ambient background in immersive screen!). But it’s still inferior to what vorpX offers and i always come back to strapping a brick to my face.
>>>>>we are getting an overload with great games and i understand that if one ain´t “careful”, you´re getting too much of your beloved hobby and lose some joy and interest in it.<<<<<
This is a point that i’ve always been worried about since my teen years, so i’ve made a habit to always making sure that the things i “consume” (movies, games, books etc) are well chosen and only the best of the best. I’m never gonna play a samurai game because it’s the only samurai game in existence on PC – i’m gonna wait until some studio releases an excellent GOTY level samurai game and then i’m gonna play it. :)
Oh, and i refuse to play multiple games at the same time. I need to immerse myself fully. If a game doesn’t “catch” me after a couple of hours, i uninstall. And maybe re-try years later. But i do careful research and this doesn’t happen often.
Gotta get back to work, but i’m looking forward to my adventure in Undvik tonight. vorpX in Reverb G2 @2560×1440 Immersive Screen – i couldn’t imagine a better way to play “The Witcher 3”, even though i sometimes wish for a higher resolution and less screen door effect… It’s never enough, right? :)
Apr 17, 2023 at 4:38pm #215968Topic: Any way to “VorpX” the Xemu Xbox emulator?
in forum General vorpX Discussion
roman.mParticipantI’ve been using VorpX more and more on almost every one of my ‘old school’ PC games, and I can’t thank Ralf enough for making such an awesome tool. It works, not withstanding some tweaking, on almost all of the classics…running the gamut of first person, third person, driving, and flight games. Just find a profile…in the cloud or packaged within. If one can’t find the exact game…just identify the engine and/or rendering setup of a similarly laid-out game of that vintage, then test and tweak to find a combo that works.
Recently I’ve stumbled across a gem of an emulator, Xemu…as well as a site that’s an ‘archive’ of sorts with a whole host of vintage Xbox games who’s ready-to-run XISO images can be loaded by the emulator with ease. I won’t say where, as I’m not affiliated with them, but with a little ‘Vimm’ one can find it easily ;) It’s the first truly user-friendly and least-buggy Xbox emulator/Image combo I’ve found since the Xbox of old gave up the ghost and I’ve migrated to the PC for most of my gaming for convenience sake, as I’m sure many have. The last few releases have come a long way since the emulator scene began, and I know I speak for a lot of us fans of the old Xbox when I say that playing an old title in VR, even just on an immersive big-screen in 3d would breath a lot of life into those old gems.
With that, I implore you Ralf…or anyone who can help. is there any way we could get or make a profile for the Xemu Emulator? I saw you had made a Dolphin Emulator profile, and for the heck of it I tried to apply it to the Xemu program…but no dice. An OpenGL 4.0-compatible GPU is required, so I presume the OpenGL platform is what it renders the emulated games in. It’s a free to use emulator…one just has to source an Xbox BIOS. Once again, with a little sleuthing one can find that easily enough. I would hope this makes it easier for you, Ralph…if you’re ever so inclined…either from the prospect of the users who would flock to VorpX for it…or maybe you’re an old school Xbox fan like me who has a few games you just can’t get with an Xbox Pass. Thank you either way, as VorpX is an awesome tool regardless.Apr 16, 2023 at 9:22pm #215959In reply to: Random Crashes Lately?
tigerIIParticipantIn my case too Vorpx Desktop crashes randomly, and from what I have noticed is that it happens when the CPU usage reaches max for a couple of seconds, instead of the framerate dropping, it just crashes. I have to turn on my monitor again to reopen Vorpx Desktop again (I don’t have to restart Steam VR though). It’s so annoying.

Head-tracking works great, 3D looks really good. Game and headset running at 120FPS.

Hi
Just want to preface this by saying that I absolutely love Vorpx and it’s probably the best $40 I ever spent on something gaming-related.
Hey everyone,
So, Vorpx is great but unfortunately, due to Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal’s engines, we havent gotten to profiles for these games to work, as far as I know.
