Topic: Missing Text from vorpx menu
Hello Not sure if it is related to the latest update but my vorpx in game settings (del)menu is missing the text associated with each button. What is strange is that this only only true for certain games Battlefield 1, Fallout 4 and Skyrim. Although I never had any issues with skyrim before. Currently the text shows up for alien isolation.
help is appreciated.
Topic: Problem with latest update
Hi, not sure if I’m alone in experiencing this, but after the latest VorpX update, I cannot start any steam game while SteamVR is running – Steam always reports “Failed to launch <Game>”. I have reinstalled VorpX, and tried variations of launching both Steam and VorpX as Administrator, but with no luck. I tried this on numerous titles but can confirm it happens on Alien: Isolation every time. I had no problems prior to automatic updating to 17.1.3. Anyone have any suggestions?
Hi there one and all,
So no HT in BF1 (Directx 12 disabled), works in Alien Isolation fine using full override xbox pad.
Followed others and got the piebald3 profile from the cloud but no head tracking, only cinema.
My machine is Win 10, gtx 1060, 32gb ram, 480 ssd, 3tb hdd, gigabyte Z170X Gaming 3 motherboard, liquid cooled i7 6700k and using Vorpx 17.1.2.Vorpx ingame settings;

Can anybody help me please?
Hi,
Alien:Isolation is my first try with vorpx. I got a HTC Vive, a GeForce 970 and Win10. I followed the instructions and troubleshooting found on the first google page. I got the view running nicely on my vive but the head tracking is not working properly.
I understand that you have to calibrate the sensitivity so that you turn the same angle in the game like you do with your head. But I’m experiencing a stutter which leads to a mismatch when turning for example 90° left and then back. This is somewhat dependent on the speed which I am turning. A higher sensitivity leads to a higher mismatch when turning back but doesn’t reduce the stutter. The tracking for the vorpx menu (fixed position relative to head) works perfectly and any other application works without any head tracking problem, too. Thanks for any help.
VorpX 17.1 render different shadows in every eye in Alien Isolation. Cant find any options to change the way it renders shadows. Please help
Hi all,
I’m not sure what i’m doing wrong, but i don’t seem to be able to get any of the supported games to work. I load vorpx, then run the game from a vorpx created shortcut, but then all i get is the game displaying on the monitor. When i put on the headset, i just get the Oculus lobby…
What am i doing wrong? There’s no Nvidia processes running and and i’ve disabled pretty much everything else i can find..
Games tested so far:
Alien Isolation
Skyrim SE (with fallout 4 profile)
Fallout 4
ESONone seem to work. The only one that ironically even acknowledged vorpx was The Assembly, which doesn’t even need vorpx! :(
Please help!
Hi,
I just recently bought the software and after some tinkering I just cant get it to work.
I have set the hardware for HTC Vive and modified the games settings ini to 100fov and 2160×1200 resolution.
What is the correct order to start softwares and game?
I have tried first opening the Vorpx, then steam VR then Alien isolation. Sometimes the game starts and sometimes I get unexpected error. But when the game starts in windowed mode the vorpx ingame menu wont pop up when I press delete. Also the game wont show on my HMD, only the backround is showing.
So what am I doing wrong here? Please advice
