    @ Kaaliba

I was having the same issue with fps starting out great, then dropping and never recovering. Looks like you have mostly solved the issue, but want to mention to everyone that I noticed the cause for me was primarily from using photomode in a non standard resolution like 2880 x 1600. I have similar setup, RTX 2070, I7 9700k, valve index. Every time I snapped a photo, the game fps would drop progressively to the point of reaching 0 fps then crash. I noticed this seems to be a CP77 bug and not vorpx, as the photos taken in 2880 x 1600 resolution will be saved as 1920 x 1080 photos instead of 2880 x 1600. I changed the resolution to 2560 x 1440 and no fps drops occur and the photos saved are in the matching 2560 x 1440 resolution. I still get fps drops when switching from vorpx to the steam vr overlay but the fps recovers when going back into vorpx.

    @ Ralf

Thankyou, CP77 is amazing in vorpx, loving Z3D!

    Hey @ Mossfoot :

Are you using an Oculus system? If you are, be sure that you set your “Device Selection” to “SteamVR (Index, Vive, WMR, Pimax etc.)” in the General settings of vorpX Configuration. I had to set this again after installing the vorpX update. vorpX can’t hook into Cyberpunk with the normal “Oculus” settings–I think due to the version of DirectX?

    Good luck!

for me the default “fastest” setting in vorpx now = stutters in all my games.

    rtx 3090
    ryzen 3600x 4.3 all cores
    16gb ddr4
    valve index.
    w10 64 bits
    tried many nvidia drivers.

didnt happen before some vorpx update.

    Hello all,

I just made my first attempt at using VorpX with my Valve Index for Star Citizen…everything appears to be working except free look. In free look, I can only look around with mouse and it does not use my head movements. I’m under the assumption that this is supposed to be done by VorpX right out of the gate. Is there anyone here that can help me resolve this issue?

Hi. I bought Vorpx recently and have been enjoying RE7 until the last update. Now every time I try to load a level it says “Error createIndexBuffer, GPU instance has been suspended”. Windows Defender detected a Trojan in Vorpx, I made an exception to allow the entire Vorpx folder and restore the files. Then I did a factory reset of Vorpx. Same problem. I reinstalled Vorpx. Same problem. My Windows installation and NVidea drivers are up to date. Please help!

PD: If I load the level without Vorpx, then reset the game with Vorpx, and hit continue, the game works until I reach a new area. Then it crashes again.

With your GPU a smooth frame rate shouldn’t be too big a deal. You need half the headset refresh rate ideally. If you happen to have an Index, try to set it to 90 instead of 120. If in doubt, try to disable ray tracing which will be the biggest FPS boost you can achieve with a single option (I know, I know, you probably want everything on ultra :)).

There is an option to adjust the gamepad y-axis sensitivity on the input page of the vorpX menu. It’s already reduced, but you can go quite a bit lower. I just wouldn’t reduce it to 0 entirely in case you need some y-axis movement occasionally.

With some luck DirectVR memory scanner head tracking will be possible, which would be the better option in regard to locking the y-axis. Can’t promise that yet though, will be checked next week.

ive set fov in game to 100. my desktop resolution is 4kx2k,3840×2160

It loads up and plays fine but i can see borders like its a moving cinema. What i see through the cinema window is satisfactory i think. Its definitely 3d. I have it turned up to 3.0 i think, in game. Its not super high resolution sharp but it looks pretty good and im reasonably happy with the game i see through this cinema window.
But the youtubers ive seen playing it through their headsets done have this window effect so im wanting to increase immersion by fitting it fully to my view.

i dabbled with the zoom in vorpx and it went away but i wasnt impressed with the zoom effected view i was then left with. Eveything too close.

Ive found a discussion stating you can change a line of text in the code to make max fov 110 and ive just done that. im yet to see if thats improved it but past this im hitting a newbie vorpx knowledge wall so thought id request the help of some vorpxers with more experience.

    any help appreciated.

I’m not sure if there’s a dedicate suggestions Forum/Post? I can’t seem to see it so I’ll put it here and hope it’s not too ‘in the way’.

Now obviously many games can be played with touch controllers (or equivalent) or a gamepad and you just can intuit these very quickly. However, for slightly more complicated games (and ones where you’re used to using mouse+keyboard like FPS) it can be a bit of a pain remembering exactly where certain keys are if you don’t touch-type (and even if you do since you do not play an FPS with indexes on f and j!).

I was wondering what the interest/possibility would be in in some sort of keyboard overlay you can pin in view?

I don’t know exactly how the tracking works (if it uses 6df or just 3 if not in full VR mode) but having a simple graphical overlay you could manually map to the location of your keyboard (since most have a set layout) would be a godsend early on in a new game. Not necessarily visible all the time, but a similar combination to show it translucent like the hotkeys.

Apologies if this sounds too niche (or a little insane), but the idea came to me and I’d rather share it and be laughed at than not said anything at all :)

Anyone have luck using Valve Index controllers with Cyberpunk 2077? For some reason the only buttons working for me are “change weapons” with the up/down on the RH joystick.

Also, is room-scale going to be supported for Cyberpunk 2077 eventually?

    Hi,

    My Specs:
    Valve Index
    RTX 3080
    Ryzen 7 2700x
    16GB Ram

i play for Example Fallout 76 in G3D in 2880×2160 (Borderless Window) and Medium Settings except the Textures on highest, in average 30-40 FPS using Fluidsync to 80 FPS, but in the Cities it crashes to 15-25 FPS. I had the same experience in other open world games in 3K or 4K in typical CPU intensive Locations, too.

In high 3K and 4K Resolutions and average 40 FPS there should not be a Bottleneck of a CPU with my RTX 3080, CPU Bottlenecks are typically on 1080p and 1440p.

Is it a Vorpx or SteamVR Problem, and should I buy a 12 or 16 core CPU to get better Minimum Frames ? Or is the setup of my Resolution, Graphic Settings and Fluidsync causing a CPU Bottleneck while using Vorpx ?

Isn’t using anything other than the aspect ratio of a given HMDs displays wasting resources? So for example the Valve Index has a 9:10 per eye aspect ratio. If I use a 4:3 aspect ratio my GPU is rendering pixels that are outside the range of the display. If I want to get the best performance at the highest fidelity possible should I not set game resolution to a 9:10 resolution? Please correct me if I am misunderstanding something here.

As title says, not a single game will attach to Vorp.I’ve tried the following games:

F1 2018 (which is the game I really want to play)
    Civ V
    Life is Strange
    AC Oddysey
    Alan Wake
    Dishonored
    Dishonored 2
    Tomb Raider

I’ve go no other programs running besides Steam and Vorpx.
    I don’t have a virus scanner.
    I uninstalled Geforce Experience.
I’ve disabled the steam overlay on all games.

I’ve tried launching SteamVR first, then the game. I’ve tried launching the game from Vorp Desktop. Nothing works. VorpX won’t attach to anything.

    I’ve got a Valve Index, A Ryzen 3700X and a GTX 2070 super.

    Can anyone help me?

Thanks for the reply Ralf. Oh yeah, for sure I set my resolution to high in KCD. I think I was attempting closer to the Index native. I’ll give 1200p a try. I’d still love to know what kind of resolutions can be achieved at reasonable framerates in KCD and other popular titles with that 3080.
