I’m a bit confused by this part here:
    —————–
Then you ve to fix the resolution. Go to: http://www.wsgf.org/dr/star-trek-voyager-elite-force and download the “1_20_StarTrek_Voyager_Elite_Force_Centred_HUD.7z”.
Unzip it in your base directory(for expl.:1920x1080p folder) and go to “BaseEF” folder.
    —————–
Do I drag all the folders from the download into the main Elite Force folder? Or do I drag them into the BaseEF folder? Or do I just grab what is inside the 1920×1080 folder and drag into the Elite Force main folder? But, if I do that, won’t it overwrite all the HD textures I added in your previous step?
Inside open the autoexec.cfg and change resolution as you prefer (for me

I have bought TOW from Epic Store and it runs fine. When I start it with VorPx it seems there is no profile attached. Starting other games I see a small window popping up saying “attached to …”. With TOW it does not happen. Maybe my problems follow already from this because I never play games without profiles.

The game starts up, head tracking is working and I choose the full VR option. But it still looks like I watch a close 3D screen I seem not be inside the world.

When I move my head in other games I watch around in the environment, but not with TOW. The whole 3D screen moves with me a bit and head tracking does not change what I see on the screen. This only works as usual with the rithg stick from XBox controller.

I guess attaching the profile would solve some issues. So pleas someone give me a hint how to do this!

I also read all previous information here in the forum, there were people with the same problems, but I still did not find out how to connect the profile.

I have played through Bioshock (the original) and Bioshock Infinite in VR and it was one of the best VR experiences I had. It’s actually up there with Half Life Alyx for me. Being inside these worlds was something really special and I actually enjoy that it’s a seated experience. I’m playing through the Bioshock Infinite DLCs right now and Rapture looks amazing with the newer Engine and in VR. I honestly don’t know why some people give VorpX a bad name since especially with direct vr it’s pretty easy to set up. I will probably buy the new Geforce 3080 just for VorpX since I really want to enjoy all of these great games with maximum visuals and great performance since VorpX really brings my 2070 Super to its knees on higher resolutions in games like Crysis.

… this prog is really small
    here is how to use.

    Start Steam.
Browse to your local folder of your game and find the exe of that game.
Then make a copy and rename the copy to i.e. gamename2.
Startup Steamedit and make sure that the little game controller icon is shimmering green.
Now select your game from the list to the left (It will show all your steam games) and click the Edit Launch button left below. Put into the tab “Executable” the name of your copied exe. Press Ok. Do a Save and refresh with the button right, it will restart steam. Now important only start the game(your new exe) from the folder not from the steamlibary. I’m also a bit new to it so still in testing. But I got “Gattling Gears” running dispite its game.exe and managed to trick Vorpx to think INSIDE has no profile.

Hi guys had the same problem over a year because I have 3 games with the name game.exe on my vorpx tryout list (Its reserved for a other game). Also I wanted to give Inside a deeper look in exchange for switching off some shaders ;) . But as you know in official profiles you cannot use the shadertool. The only way to achieve this would be to rename the exe file of the game. But here is the problem gaming clients such as steam prevent you from doing so…
One option would be looking for the cracked.exe to get rid of steam but Dont do that !
For Steam I found a working program which is able to rename your exe and save it to your local steam configuration.

Yes i have focal at zero. Not sure why it feels that Infinity distance is changed on two other modes than fullVR, and If look at edges of those modes you can see that game Infinity stops to screen edge distance, which is inside of that virtual room where your couch is. Right when change to fullVR whole scene goes back of that screen, objects which goes to infinity distance and planet feels huge.

And yes kerbal is Unity 5 game, gameprofile is near perfect now.

    Hello.
I was using the two profiles that are in cloud for this game but both are not working good.
One of them don’t do anything and the other produce so many flashes and sparkles annoying to the eye.
When you are inside many rooms it’s horrible but outdoors sometimes works better in some places but usually are bad.
I was trying to modify the parameters but is the same because when some parameters are working well in some screens in another screens are horrible.

I will be very grateful if someone that have advanced knowledge about how to configure vorpx can do a better profile for the game in G3D.

But I suppose that it’s impossible to do a well G3D to Octopath Traveler maybe for the way that the programmers create the graphics and it’s a pity because in Cinema mode looks amazing.

    Thank you so much.

I’m trying to fix the shadow issue of inside but if there is a profile already there I’m not able to create a new profile from it. Is there a way around this?

vorpX is primarily about VR, that is also true for the Immersive Screen Mode. Its purpose is getting you ‘inside the game’ as good as possible if FullVR makes no sense for a game. Its purpose is explitely not recreating monitor stereo 3D with all its inherent flaws in VR, which is rather pointless since you can do that better on a monitor.

Thank you for the quick answer!

Thing is the .58 version of DGVoodoo2 is not available on their website, they go go directly from the .55 to the .60 version in their old releases section.
I tried with the .60 version without success as you described it. (Just to be sure, I used the D3D9 in the MS\x86 folder of DGVoodoo2, since I doubt the game was 64bit, and put the dgvoodoocpl.exe on the game folder)

Also about the shortcut, that’s what I wanted to do, but Windows show an error saying the path can’t be found if I add -window at the end (tried inside the “” and outside).

Well, I think I will pass on this game on vorpx. Windows 10 and the platinum version may be different. A shame since I needed 100h to finish the first campaign and still have the last 2 to do xD

Thank you for the tips on resolution, so basically the question is to know what is the max resolution the graphic card can handle with enough FPS, The HMD will then downscale it working as the supersampling option of some games.

Hi i bought a VorpX license last week, i decided to get into it today, i tried Alien Isolation and Resident Evil 7, both seem pretty good in VR (but blurry compared to native vr games) but the problem i’m having is my oculus touch controllers keep alerting me to pick them up when in game, and my xbox controller keeps flicking back and forth to the keyboard.

Basically i just want to control the game with my controller, i found the games unplayable so far because of the constant switching, i looked in the VorpX in-game keybindings and it just shows keyboard bindings so no option to disable anything.

Also is there a way to make Resident Evil 7 run a bit better and less blurry? i’m running it on a 2080ti, ryzen 3800x and 16gb of ddr 4 3200, and when i’m outside it drops to 40 fps, inside it bounces around 60-70 and i’d like to have consistent frames

    Edit: i’m using a Oculus Rift S

I am still confused about this option.

I have 3 PC’s and I have the Vive Cosmos. 1 PC has two 980 TI’s in SLI and a 4K monitor. The other PC has a 1070 and a 2560×1440 monitor, and 3rd system is a Laptop with 4K LCD and 1060 TI.

If I’m reading the Cosmos Vive’s specs, it says that it has a total resolution of 2800x1440p

So what resolution should I be setting inside the Vorpx menu within a game?

Again thanks for looking into this, I feel like it should just be working, no idea what could be messing it up. A couple of things though, I’ve installed some other games through steam and all of those work perfectly fine, so it’s really just the original Mass Effect trilogy that is not working. Also, with steam vr (Using a WMR), if I alt tab and then select the “SteamVR” tab on the taskbar (which has no preview window), it will show a cursor on the monitor but not on inside of the headset.

Also when I press alt-c, nothing happens but the system makes a ding (the sound the computer makes when you try to click off of something that Windows won’t let you click off of) so something could be messing up there.

I’ve found a mod that makes the game work with a controller. I’ve installed that and it appears to work though it’s a bit glitchy, but it makes it playable. Please let me know if you run into any potential solutions in the future.

    Thanks!

Since FS19 has the stutter issues that are possibly related to gamepads and wheels I’ve been playing FS17 with G3D which works quite well. The one problem I have is that when I’m running windowed and letting DirectVR take care everything it doesn’t seem like the resolution settings have any effect inside VR, the desktop window does change resolution but ingame it still looks the same.

You can get it to work by just disabling the DirectVR config for resolution settings, going fullscreen (also need to minimize SteamVR before starting the game) and then you can set the resolution but I still end up with a FOV that seems to be distorted when looking at stuff up close such as my tractor cab for example. Tried fiddling with the settings but not sure if it’s avoidable at this point… Another issue I’ve noticed is the head tracking sensitivity setting has to be changed every time I start the game even if have saved it in the VorpX menu.
