My games were running in fullscreen mode. I was able to remap keys to gamepad buttons after twice pressing ALT+TAB keys combination while vorpX waiting my keys. And then i was get availability to remap all necessary buttons and save settings.

Yesterday i have done full factory reset vorpX, but nothing changed. I can’t remap gamepad buttons to any keyboard keys and mouse click buttons. vorpX wait for my keys pressing and i can’t even close setting ingame menu while not wheel up or wheel down mouse connected to PC (in this case vorpX mapping gamepad button to mouse wheelup or mouse wheeldown). I was try remap gamepad buttons in others games, such as Alien Isolation and Lust from Beyond, but unsuccessfully. These games has same issue. vorpX wait for my keys pressing but do not map any keys when i press them. When i press middle mouse button i can see on/off edgepeak function of vorpX, altough ingame settings menu is open at this moment.

I was testing internal gamepad emulation by vorpX in Skyrim. All worked fine, but i need to remap some buttons of gamepad to other keys. For the first time i was can do it without any throubles, but i forget to press OK/save in game settings menu. Now i can’t reassign any keyboard keys or mouse click buttons to gamepad button emulation in game settings menu vorpX, because his not reaction on my keys pressing. I can only assign mouse wheelup or mouse wheeldown emulation. Interesting yet: if i try assign ‘TAB’ key to ‘B’ gamepad key i can see that skyrim open magic/map/inventory menu in game altougch i located in vorpX game menu settings at this moment (in gamepad remap settings). What is it? It is bug of vorpX? Maybe there other way to remap gamepad keys for any game?

I bought vorpx today for RDR2 and got it working alright, but whenever I launch with vorpx the controls on my Xbox controller get scrambled. I read this was a normal problem and you can map keys in the settings menu, but when I click on a key to remap it in VorpX settings, it won’t let me bind a key to it and it just changes to “–“. Also when this happens I can’t click on anything in the menu including the close button, but they still glow when I hover the mouse over them. Anyone know a fix for this?

Also when I’m in FullVR mode it acts like immersive view but the game stays centered in my view, the headtracking works but I have to zoom in very far in order to not see the ambience background, and even when I do if I look up or down I can see the borders for a second while it catches up. Thanks in advance if anyone knows a solution to these.

    I’m on windows 10 with a GTX 1080Ti and i7 4790k

So how do you hook ME1 LE, do you need to pause it until you selected it in the Legendary Edition Launcher? Someone mentioned they disabled LE Launcher in Vorpx menu, anyone know how to do that? I couldn’t find G3D settings with the Bioshock infinite profile just Z3D. Let’s hope Ralph puts us out of our misery and drops an awesome profile soon, would be great to have 1 profile for all 3 games so you can drop in and out. I tried the old version of ME2 with G3D and the FP mod and it looked amazing, just didn’t work with the controller mod and I hate using keyboard in VR so I decided to get the LE, I must say they have been well improved, I still think EA are tight not giving owners any discount but even if they did it still probably wouldn’t be as much as CDKeys. 10 bucks for each game aint bad.

I would suggest turning off motion smoothing in steamVR as well because that on top pf ASW in Oculus were giving me trouble.

Also Ralf when using gamepad, do I have to change the input settings to gamepad and not keyboard and mouse? Doesn’t seem to make a difference as I still have to map according to keyboard and mouse keys.

Is it possible to default back to steam when using the gamepad? Steam already has native support for dualshock and xbox controllers and the aim sensitivity is miles better than the mapping in VorpX.

Thanks! I tried and the shortcuts and healing works.
However, I can’t access the map, the start menu and also the crafting menu. Do I have to map new keys for those?

With the shift mapping I mentioned above there should be enough options available on the Touch controllers.

If there really aren’t, configure the ‘VR Hotkeys’ menu in the vorpX options and then bind shift+mousewheel click to one of the controller buttons, which will then open the menu while you play. Pretty nifty feature, heavily underused. Opens a gaze based 4×4 button matrix that allows you to perform keyboard shortcuts by looking at a button.

The video doesn’t play here for some reason, but you have to use the controllers in keyboard/mouse mode for the game with the left stick emulating WASD and the right stick the mouse. That should be the default, no need to change anything here.

What you might want to customize however are the button mappings, those are probably not ideal for the game. Best way to do that is opening the page with the key bindings in the game options and then map the keys to the VR controller buttons in a way that makes most sense for you.

Found a way around it. In steamVR you can custom bind keys for controller, changed the grip buttons there to be somting els (for me left and right stick button), then changed those key bindings in VorpX menu to do what I wanted it for.
Hope this helps, a little hard to explain with words.

Hello, so I’ve been experiencing a very frustrating problem. When I start fallout new vegas with the original .exe then my controls work fine, means: I can use my mouse and keyboard or my controller –> which emulates a mouse/keyboard combination, I think. However, if I mod the game then I need to start it via “nvse_loader.exe”. Strangely enough vorpx hooks without a problem and everything but the controls seem to work. The game loads into the menu and the only buttons which are responding are “Del” (opens vorpx menu), “Enter” and the arrow keys (which I use to navigate through the menu). That’s it. IF I load into the game I can’t do anything: Mouse is not responding, keyboard is not responding, nothing. It’s uplayable. Why is that?

What I’ve tried to fix it:

    1) Created a new profile (from the original FNV profile) and attached the “nsve loader.exe” to vorpx.
    2) When the game is loaded I tried to change the controller-settings within the vorpx menu (overwrite: fully, partially etc.) since then (when the vorpx menu opens) the mouse works but as soon as I close the menu the mouse arrow dissapears and nothing happens anymore.

Without any luck, vorpx won’t let me use my other buttons nor the controller.

Is there any way to fix this?

Incidentally there will be some changes in that regard shortly. Instead of directly opening the vorpX menu with a left thumbstick click you will see a little menu first e.g. with the entries vorpX menu/DirectVR scan/recenter/VR hotkeys that can be selected by looking at them. Similar to the gaze based game hotkey system that currently can’t really be used at all with a gamepad.

In the meantime there still is a more comfortable option for doing both with a gamepad than using the keyboard shortcuts: the vorpX menu currently has recenter and DirectVR scan (if available) buttons on the main page for quick access.

Just to clarify, its a problem with the keyboard keys, the mouse works fine.

    @Ralf,
No, there seems to be some conflict going on with the keyboard controls. For the most part, the mouse camera movement in 3rd person is fine, but moving around with wasd keys, using the radial menus is very bonked. Lag in key inputs, keys being stuck on (like if I start walking forward, he just stays going forward for 10 seconds), the radial menus will pop up when I hit tab, but then stay up long after I let go. Like 5-10 second lag with most keyboard input.

No, in fact, I did not patch my game! So this explains a lot. Thank you so much for sharing this with me!
