In reply to: Ctrl+Alt not working
RalfKeymasterThe ALT key is blocked intentionally as a safety measure to prevent collisions with vorpX hotkeys (which use the ALT key per default). You can disable this block on the input page of the the vorpX menu.
Caveat: the according option is only available in the vorpX menu if expert settings are enabled in the config app.

KalfsterParticipantMight not work or conflict (maybe not) but if the menu can also be operated with for example the cursor keys maybe you can remap the mouse wheel to cursors keys with a key mapper and hope the key mapper prevails over the fact that the wheel is switched off.

RJK_ParticipantBrothers in Arms: Hells Highway (G3D)
After beeing disappointed about the older Brothers in Arms games because there was no chance to give them a stereo profile, the newer Unreal 3 Engine impresses with its even greater graphics.
Important FOV Settings :
Open: C:\Users\…\Documents\My Games\BIA Hells Highway\SumacGame\SumacInput.ini
-Look for “[Engine.InputActionDefinition]”
-Look for the line that starts with: “Actions=(Id=IA_ZoomHold,Alias…”
Change it to: Actions=(Id=IA_ZoomHold,Alias=”.ZOOMHOLD”,Names=(“Zoom”),Command=”ZoomIn | FOV 0 | OnRelease ZoomOut | OnRelease FOV 120″)-Ingame assign a key to Zoomhold. Tapping this key will enable enhanced FOV.
Tipp: Assign this also to the key where you have VorpX “3D Off” have assigned to. This will help for better aiming. You can use both keys seperately depending on the gun/situation.Important: Write protect SumacInput.ini after you have made your final adjustments. (The game will otherwise reset your keysettings)
Additional Settings:
Somone else suggested another Setting in the ini:Under [SumacGame.SumacPlayerInput] add the following line:
Bindings=(Name=”F2″,Command=”FOV 0″,Control=False,Shift=False,Alt=False)This should help in cutscenes if they look messed up while FOV is changed. (Not tested)
– Download the profile from the cloud

RJK_ParticipantAnother thing you could try, manually find the KingdomCome.exe you want to start on your HD and explicitely make a vorpx shortcut to that exe so that no “other” exe or leftovers from older installations mistakely can start through some possible faulty registry keys. Start Steam VR, then start the game via that shortcut. (though i dont know if a steamgame allows that)
Aug 13, 2018 at 9:57pm #174726In reply to: Several games not working anymore
OzymandiasParticipantThe games themselves are running, but VorpX gives the above mentioned error. The game then actually has the VorpX logo at the bottom but doesn’t react to the VorpX hotkeys.
Where can I find the logs?Aug 2, 2018 at 1:05am #174531In reply to: Custom Game Profile for Old Game
nnll14ParticipantAs I’ve said, the name of the game is Jump Start World. I used a generic profile for a DirectX 9 game that moves the cursor when you move your head. There are apps like big screen that are free, so I don’t want to use this as a $60 cinema mode application. I hope to get headrtracking mapped to the left and right arrow keys or possibly attach to the game and enable freelook

nnll14ParticipantHey guys. I’m trying to run a game that uses Directx 9, and it launches fine with VorpX using another games profile that has the same directx veriskn but it doesn’t work because the game I’m trying to do I jump start world, and uses arrow keys to turn the character left or right. There is no freelook. Please help. I bought VorpX for this game

RJK_ParticipantHULK (DGVoodoo2) -G3D
DX8 action game from 2003. Nice 3D, quite addicting.
– DGVoodoo2 required
– Full VR Mode
– Use Edgepeek for Menus and Text Messages
– Download widescreen patch here : http://www.wsgfmedia.com/jackfuste/hulk/hulk.7z
– Remapping Keys makes character control easier
– Profile availiable from the cloudJul 21, 2018 at 5:44pm #174355In reply to: Was something changed with gamepad settings?
markbradley1982ParticipantChecked this today.
What you see is the intended behaviour. When VR controllers are reported as active and set to keyboard/mouse emulation (which is the default), they override the gamepad setting in the vorpX menu.
If possible without unwanted side effects, I’ll change the way this is handled, otherwise I’ll add an according hint to the vorpX menu that will be shown whenever the above is the case to avoid future confusion.
Understood. However when the VR Vive controllers are reported as active, the keys weren’t just bound to the vive controllers but to my xbox one gamepad too. Was that an intended side effect? I fixed it by disabling Vive controller support since I wasn’t using them.

dellrifter22ParticipantHere is a handy mod that lets you increase FOV with hotkeys in game on the fly. Works pretty well. Separate adjustments for both world fov and hand/weapon fov.

xrc6ParticipantJust to update. I did a complete reformat of Windows 10. downloaded all updated drivers, installed Oculus, Steam, Vorpx and left everything at default.
I started AC: Origins and my gamepad still does not function as a gamepad. I double checked the vorpx settings and gamepad over ride is set to off. I don’t have anything else installed.
Issue perisists using both Xbox One gamepad or Steam Controller with xbox setup. The game still thinks I only have kb/mouse. The only difference I notice now is that the left analogue stick rotates the camera but all the other buttons basically act as various kb keys. For example pressing UP directional key brought up the Vorpx mini screen or whatever it’s called.
GTA 5 is effected the same but I did find that Ghost of a tale works fine with the gamepad. So it’s not all games but apparently certain ones or only certain ones are not effected.
As before, shutting down vorpX then the game works fine. So I’m pretty confident now that something in vorpx is the only cause. I just don’t know what is over riding it or what else to try.
Jul 5, 2018 at 1:11am #173795In reply to: Was something changed with gamepad settings?
markbradley1982ParticipantAlright well I finally managed to fix it. There were 3 different applications all wanting control of my Xbox for Oblivion: joy2key, vorpX, and Oblivion itself. I haven’t changed any settings in Oblivion and it was working perfectly a couple of weeks ago when I last played. But my Oblivion ini file was changed, and I suspect VorpX is handling gamepads differently now too.
1. In my Oblivion ini file the joystick was mysteriously enabled (bUse Joystick=1) while this setting in my previous buttery smooth Oblivion VR game session was disabled (bUse Joystick=0) because I don’t like Oblivion’s native joystick support and normally prefer to give Joy2Key control instead because it is more flexible.
2. I had to turn off Vive controller support (VorpX maps keys to the Vive wand) because it was automatically mapping keys to my Xbox too. I remember having Vive controller support enabled in the past without it automatically mapping keys to my Xbox. Did a recent VorpX update change this behavior?
Now everything is normal and I can use access edgepeek and the VorpX menu with my Xbox too.
Well I guess I’m done with Oblivion for today and will actually play it tomorrow. I really need to play some Rec Room Royale now to unwind from that frustration.
Jun 26, 2018 at 7:39pm #173655In reply to: Recording VorpX
RJK_Participant..best if you put OBS, Headset Monitor and Game on your Taskbar. Start SteamVR, VorpX, then Open OBS, load preset and/or assign recording hotkeys and make video settings (probably best matching the res you are using in the game), maximize Headset Monitor, start Game through taskbar, press recording hotkey. Ive converted the movie into another format.
here is a Samplevideo, several times converted, not best quality, but shows that 3D recording works. Note: Testvideo has mono Intro-Screen.
I used Whirligig for playback, MPC-HC seems to produce a strange image offset .
If youtube video does not work or you cant download it, here is the video in a less crappy format.
Most important settings are:
You must use game capture + capture specific window ( steam “headset monitor” window or “Headset Mirror” )Jun 15, 2018 at 10:49pm #173509In reply to: Some help on hotkey setting needed
RalfKeymasterYou can only assign single key presses to the VR hotkeys in vorpX, not entire sequences. If the game in question allows to assign macros to a keyboard shortcut, you could do that and then assign the shortcut to the VR hotkey in vorpX.
There is functionality to send macros directly through vorpX, but there is no way to configure that for a user. These macros are hard coded in C++ if needed.
